The /tmp Labs AI Governance Suite
Operational governance architecture for AI systems in production.
What This Suite Is
The /tmp Labs AI Governance Suite provides the foundational controls required to govern AI systems across their lifecycle — from development to deployment and ongoing operation.
It is designed for environments where AI systems influence material decisions, accountability must be explicit, audit and review are expected, and governance must work in practice, not just in policy.
The suite supports existing risk, compliance, and assurance functions. It does not replace them.
Why Governance Requires Architecture
Modern AI risk does not originate from models alone. It emerges from the interaction between models, agents and orchestration layers, data pipelines, external tools and APIs, and human decision loops.
Effective governance therefore requires system-level controls, not isolated checks.
The /tmp Labs AI Governance Suite is built as an architecture, not a checklist.
Governance Capabilities Provided
Policy definition and enforcement across AI systems
Continuous observation of system behaviour in production
Preservation of decision traceability and accountability
Support for human oversight and escalation
Evidence generation for internal review and audit
From Static Assessment to Continuous Oversight
The suite is designed to support continuous AI risk management and the governance of increasingly autonomous AI systems.
It enables organisations to move from static, point-in-time assessments to ongoing operational oversight — where controls run alongside the systems they govern.
What This Suite Is Not
A compliance checklist
A one-time audit tool
A model-only governance framework
A replacement for human oversight
It is an operational foundation for governing AI systems responsibly at scale.
Built In, Not Bolted On
Governance capabilities are embedded across /tmp Labs platforms by design. They are not added after deployment — they are assumed from the start.
Who This Is For
AI governance and assurance teams
Risk and compliance functions
Technology and data leadership
Organisations operating AI in regulated environments
Practitioner-Led Engagements
/tmp Labs engages selectively in advisory conversations with organisations operating AI systems in regulated environments.
These engagements are grounded in practitioner experience and focus on governance design and operating models, system architecture considerations, risk ownership and accountability structures, and translating governance intent into operational reality.
Advisory is offered where hands-on experience is more valuable than prescriptive frameworks.
Advisory engagements do not provide regulatory interpretation, do not substitute legal or compliance functions, and do not offer certification or compliance opinions. They are intended to support internal teams as they design, assess, or evolve AI systems in production.
Disclaimer /tmp Labs is not a regulator and does not provide regulatory approvals. This suite reflects practitioner experience in designing systems that support governance, accountability, and auditability in real enterprise contexts.
Practitioner Discussions
If you are assessing how AI governance operates within your systems — beyond policy and documentation — we welcome practitioner-level discussions.
